Another gym which was in my list of visits since God knows when. I’ve heard of the place but never really workout there. Because I always got lost trying to find the place previously until I finally worked in Seria and the most hang about place with my friends there is Kuala Belait. Previously I always workout at Paul and Olivia, Kuala Belait because it’s easy to find. Probably will do a review on that one in the future. So here’s Muscle Max Kuala Belait, a HARDCORE GYM here in Brunei where the heaviest dumbbell could break my back if I tried lifting it.
The Gym is a little warm. There are wall fan around but most of them are off. Only when I decide to turn it on that I get the breeze. Luckily there are lots of windows open and the air is circulated.
Most of the machines are rusted but still functioning properly. Don’t let the faded paint turn you off. Warriors are made under these conditions. These are the kind of gym where builders pump hard and not talk hard. Get what I mean. But if you talk hard here then I can’t say much too. What I do know is when I enter the gym I’m in another dimension! SHUT UP AND PUMP!!!!
Well, it’s my Chest and Back day so the 1st thing I did was jump onto the Vertical Bench Machine and superset it with Seated Row. Fit nicely as both the machine were beside each other. I was there for a good 10 sets. 5 sets normal grip on the bench machine and narrow grip row and another 5 sets lower grip with wide grip seated row. Moving on to the Incline free weight bench Machine as shown above supersetting with Dumbbell bent over Row. 5 sets each before moving on to Cablecross and lat pulldown. I can’t remember all the exercise I did as I was totally zone out.. or zone in. I was happy with the setups but not too joyful bout the temperature. But nothing I can’t dealt with as it’s the quality of the workout that is important.
You get a full range of machines here for the whole body’s requirement.
Overall I’d say 4/5 Come and give it a PUMP!
I’m not one of those readers that comments on articles often, but yours really compelled me. There’s a lot of interesting content in this article that is interesting and bold. http://www.samsung1080phdtv.net/
Looks like you’ve just found your favourite?
Anyway, the heat will probably help you burn more calories & work your mental discipline.
haha~~
Hahaha… over this side of the country that is.. emm.. island 😛 hahaha… and well, the heat won’t help me burn more fats on the fact side.. just dehydrate my skins more.. here’s a myth most local bodybuilders misunderstood.
It can be tough to write about this topic. I think you did an excellent job though! Thanks for this! 41020
Bro, i’d like to know the address for the gym or it’s contact number should be fine. I just move to KB recently and been working out at Paul n Olivia, it was ok though. Appreciate for the reply thanks:)
No worries. thanks for reading. are you familiar with KB? do you know the industrial area where the Toyota showroom is? here’s the link to their FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Muscle-Max-KB/157865057598570?sk=info
Hi, could you share the address or the phone number to this place? I’d like to go check it out. Thanks.

Hi Bong, thanks for your inspiring blog. We need more passionate people in Brunei like you! This may be totally unrelated to what you do but I am wondering if you would be able to recommend any personal trainers in Kuala Belait who specialises for building muscle in women over age 50+? I am trying to find one for my mother because I am overseas, I don’t know where to look in KB. Thanks so much.
Hi Vanessa, thanks for commenting. But im not too sure if there are any in KB since iv left brunei 3 years back and been working in Miri since. Mind telling me more about the conditions of ur mom. like her fitness level and how active is she? There is a lot to analyze before starting a fitness lifestyle as everyone is different and its important to make sure its safe and suitable for the individual. Is your mom attached to any gym at the moment? thanks. il try to see what i can find for u at the moment while waiting for your info. cheers
